Dad's White Model VS III Machine Head

My Dad's White VS III Treadle Machine Head

Manufactured: Estimated between 1900 and 1910 judging by the serial number
Serial Number: 376803

This is a White Sewing Machine Company model VS III treadle head.  It was purchased for an early treadle, but the treadle itself requires a VS I model.  As far as differences between the models VS I, VS II, and VS III, it seems the width of the machine bed is the major, if not only, difference.  The treadle opening for a VS1 is 7 inches.  The width of this VS III model bed is 7 and 1/2 inches.  Unfortunately the paint on the bed has peeled a great deal.  It does have a  shuttle and bobbin and turns over beautifully.
