1950 White Model 77 Portable


This is a White Sewing Machine Company Model 77  Family Rotary Portable.    The model 77's were fashioned to compete with the Singer Featherweight Model 221.  This machine has a lightweight (perhaps aluminum) body, and is lifted up and out of its box-style case.  The finish on this machine is a "krinkle" finish, with no decals.  Machines with this finish tend not to scratch as easily because of the texture of the finish.  This model was the last Family Rotary model manufactured by White.
