Sewing Machines I Currently Own

These sewing machines span a time period of 1891 to 1961.  My oldest Singer machine, from 1891, is 113 years old at this writing.  I tend to like to sew on machines of the early to mid 1900's, and although I love my machines that have perfect decals, because I use my machines, I also tend to "fall for" those machines that have been well-loved and well-used over the years.  Often these are not those that look perfect or brand-new, but I have also found these are often a machine that runs very well and sews very nicely.  They most definitely each have a character all their own.

A note about the Singer Slant-O-Matic model sewing machines - Their serial numbers were issued beginning in 1951, according to Singer, but most of the 400 and 500 series machines were manufactured between 1960 and 1962, all in Anderson, South Carolina.  Please see the Sewing Machine Links page for the Singer serial number link.

My Hand Crank units are: a 201k, and a 15-30

My Treadle units are: One 66 Redeye, a VS2 fiddlebase, and a 27-3

One of my electric machines is my grandmother's 1934 model 99-13, and it runs beautifully, and my other three electrics are Slant-O-Matic machines, with all-metal gears.  :)
