Simply Art © Crochet Hooks are high quality wooden hooks that I then paint. These are a continuation of my many years as a visual artist. They are painted in my abstract / impressionist style with professional acrylic paints, and then sealed with four layers of varnish. Each is signed. For those of you who didn't have a chance to purchase my pen abstract art (which I no longer do professionally), here is an opportunity to own one of my originals.
I offer crochet hooks in both sets and as individual hooks. In the sets, each hook will differ slightly, as each is individually painted, but all hooks in each set are of the same color theme. The two color themes for sets that are offered on a regular basis are Simply Art (c) "Simply Rosebuds" and Simply Art (c) "Salt and Sea". Individual hooks, including vintage hooks, are also shown below.

Pricing for Crochet Hooks is as marked. Each set may differ with the number of hooks, and so each set is priced accordingly. Both sets and individual hooks are priced according to the material used.
Shipping: is $4.60 for the first set or hook, $2.00 for each additional set or hook shipped at the same time. Insurance is optional ($1.65 per box). Payment may be made by personal check or money order.
Photos show hooks before varnishing and then after varnishing when possible.

Bamboo hooks are also hand-carved - each is slightly different. Any "flaws" or comments on the hand carving are noted. The bamboo hooks I offer have the indentation for your thumb, and are carbonized for strength.

Vintage Wood Hooks

I approach painting a vintage item with respect for its age and history. Any "flaws" or comments on the item or hand carving are noted.

"Simply Country" Color Theme (blue and pale yellow) Vintage hand-carved wood crochet hook, appears to be hickory. There is a natural curve in the hook, and the hook itself is shallowly carved. This hook is what I would call "primitively" carved. There is a one inch or so shallow crack in the wood on the back / bottom side. This can be seen just under my signature in the third photo.
