One of my favorite art forms is crocheting. I don't always have the patience (or time) for vintage crocheting with very small steel hooks, so I have adapted some of the vintage patterns to reflect my own style of crocheting doilies. Below are photos of the doilies I offer.

Did you know? - Originally, thread doilies were invented by a man, and although I am having trouble fully researching him, I do know that his name was D'Oyley, and his thread creations were to protect the upholstery of his couch from the hairdo's of visitors. I believe he was Irish, and his D'oyley designs were issued somewhere around 1904 or so, as far as I can tell.
Religious-themed doilies make wonderful gifts for Baptism, Confirmation, Ordination, or any Sacramental occasion. Roman Catholic Holy Cards are included if shown in the photo with the doily. Holy cards are paper, are not laminated and measure 4-1/4 x 2-1/2 inches.
