Simply Art © Shawls "Shetland & Stripes" Pattern Crochet
This pattern is for a basic shawl pattern that uses the subtle variances in wool yarn spun from a single fleece or partial fleece. Specifically written for home-spun wools, the shawl may also be made with commercial sport-weight yarns. This easy pattern will enable anyone who knows basic crochet stitches to make a beautiful, yet functional shawl. It’s a great first project for young crocheters, but just as rewarding for advanced crocheters to make. The sample is crocheted in my own hand-spun Shetland wool, with the accent colors being my own hand-spun and hand-dyed Border Leicester wools. I spin my own yarns to sport-weight, but as the finished dimensions are not critical, a worsted-weight yarn could also be used, and if so, the shawl would be respectively larger.
Finished size: 17 inches by 60 inches
