Dog Coat – Small and Medium

This pattern is for an easy-to-make dog coat. It is made using a Weave-It weaving loom. After making several types of dog coats, both knitted and woven, I have found that this design is most easily accepted by the dog (s), is easy to get on and off, and provides warmth in cooler temperatures, as well as being simple to make in any color combination. Also included are directions for using this coat with a dog harness, and a photocopied page of basic Weave-It Loom directions.
Size small will fit a dog 19 inches long from neck to tail and 15 inches tall at the shoulder.
Size medium will fit a dog 20 to 22 inches long from neck to tail and 18 to 20 inches tall at the shoulder.

Materials: 1) 4-inch by 4-inch Weave-It Loom 1) 2-inch by 4-inch Weave-It type loom (or use the 4-inch loom and plan on folding squares in half) Worsted weight yarn, 4 ounces of your choice for each coat 1) 20-inch square cotton bandana, or lining material of your choice 1) 10-inch by 2-1/2 inch lining material for each strap section (2 sections) Velcro fastener tape – 5 inches total of both hook and loop sides, 2 inches wide.
