Fingerless Gloves Knitting

This is a basic pattern for a pair of easy-to-knit fingerless gloves in the Women's sizes Small and Medium. These are knit with straight needles, in a worsted-weight yarn, for a functional glove in the fingerless style.
The sample gloves are knit with my own hand-spun Alpaca wool yarn. I spin this to a sport or light-worsted weight, but it knits up as a worsted-weight. In the sample pair of gloves, I used the natural variation of color in the yarn to have the cuffs slightly different from the hand section, there are not color variations written into the pattern. Due to the fact that I have based this pattern on hand-spun yarn, which will vary in yards per ounce per how it is spun, I have listed the total yarn needed in yards instead of ounces. Commercial worsted-weight yarn may easily be substituted for hand-spun yarn.
