My Simply Art© Simply Basic© Hand-Woven Inkle Belts are just that!  A very basic belt that I hand-weave on my inkle looms.  Colors vary, but I generally prefer to weave with my own hand-spun wools complemented with occasional commercial wool colors.

Inkle weaving is a warp-faced weave technique that has been used by many different cultures for centuries.  The style of my belts is usually a simple weave, allowing the wool to be the focus of the belt, and I often use naturally colored wools to achieve this effect. 

My belts make wonderful Christmas or Birthday presents.  If buying for someone else, please make sure to reserve at least 3 inches of the overall belt length for closure.  If someone wears a size 34 pant, then a 37-inch belt would be the minimum length belt for that person.
