Simply Basic (c) Christmas Stocking Knit Charts

Simply Art (c) Simply Basic (c) Christmas Stocking Knitting Charts

My Simply Art (c) Simply Basic (c) Christmas Stocking Pattern I is available with eight designs and is written for flat single-point needle knitting.  My Simply Art (c) Simply Basic (c) Christmas Stocking Pattern II and my Simply Art (c) Simply Basic (c) Christmas Stocking Pattern III for circular needle knitting are single design patterns without included charts other than alphabet and number charts.  The charts listed below are meant as individual supplements to my Christmas Stocking Pattern I.

Additionally, these charts do integrate with my other Christmas Stocking Patterns mentioned above - each of those patterns is marked for the insertion of these designs.  However, due to the differences in the ease of knitting intarsia charts between single-point knitting and circular needle knitting, with intarsia knitting being slightly more difficult in circular knitting, the charts are not included as part of each of the two circular knitting stocking patterns.  My goal with all of my patterns is simplicity and ease of completion for beginner to advanced, with the emphasis on the beginning knitter.  Intermediate to advanced knitters will have the skills to integrate my charts into the circular knitting patterns, and as such, the designs are offered individually for their use.

Charts are available for immediate purchase and download, with payment through Paypal.  After payment is received through Paypal, you will be directed to a link for the Adobe "pdf" version of the chart, which you can immediately print or save to your computer.  You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the "pdf" file, a free download here.  Because each chart has an individual download page, purchases must be made individually.  If you prefer, I can send an invoice for multiple purchases. Please email me using the link at the top left to request an invoice.

If you prefer to purchase a printed copy via the U.S. Mail and pay with a personal check or money order, please email me using the link at the top left.

Again, a note about straight, single point knitting and circular needle knitting.  Circular needle knitting creates the stockinette stitch without any rounds having to be purled.  This creates a slightly more loose stitch and therefore, just slightly more difficulty in keeping intarsia (two-color) stitches consistent.  If you are new to intarsia knitting, I recommend my flat-knitted Christmas Stocking Pattern I.  The knitting and purling of straight-needle knitting makes intarsia knitting easier to begin with.  For a definition of intarsia knitting, please visit this link.

Charts below were originally written to be based on 20 rows of worsted weight knitting, and a maximum design width of 34 stitches.  They may also be used with other gauges of knitting, and the design size will change according to the gauge used.  All charts are originally hand-marked in color.  Charts with less than 20 rows are to be knitted with a main color "filling in" any blank rows.

The charts below are included with my Simply Art (c) Simply Basic (c) Christmas Stocking Pattern I but are also available as individual purchases.
