(c) Woman's Sock Crochet
Pattern
This pattern is for flat-crocheted socks that are easy to crochet in size 10 crochet thread. Pattern is written for a woman’s size 7 foot. Other sizes can be crocheted by making a few simple adjustments to the pattern, from toddler to men’s. The finished socks are thicker than knit socks, are very comfortable, and as well as have the advantages of 100% cotton as they are made with cotton thread. Flat-crocheted, in this pattern, means that the sock is crocheted in one long, flat piece, and then the seams are sewn together. This pattern was inspired by a worsted-weight wool pattern that is available publicly, but I specifically developed this pattern for use with 2 strands of crochet thread to achieve a finer stitch. Please note: The ribbing on this sock is crocheted vertically – which means that some self-striping threads will not stripe the same way as if they were knitted. As a bonus with this pattern, a knit ribbing instruction is included so that the ribbing can be striped. This is a pattern that can be used to teach those new to crochet or children to crochet. I do not explain the individual stitch methods in the pattern, but they are the basic stitches that would be taught in a crocheting class, a Senior Center, or Home Economics class. If purchasing the pattern for one of these classes or groups, up to 30 copies are allowed from one pattern purchase. The name of the group or class and a tax identification number (if applicable) is required for a "group" pattern purchase. One copy of the pattern is mailed.
