"Spring" Gloves Knitting

This is a basic pattern for a pair of easy-to-knit light-weight gloves in the Women’s sizes Small and Medium. These are knit with straight needles, in a fingering-weight yarn, for a functional glove with two variations - half-finger or fingerless.
The sample gloves are knit with fingering-weight Alpaca (green half-finger gloves) and vintage fingering weight wool (yellow fingerless gloves). The lighter weight of fingering-weight yarn is great for a glove worn in springtime, or, knit with certain types of yarn, a glove for indoor wearing as a fashion statement, to match a favorite outfit, etc.

Materials Needed to complete the pattern:
Sizes 1 and 3 single point needles Fingering-weight yarn, 2 ounces per pair One 4-inch stitch holder Two stitch markers 1 Tapestry needle for sewing seams
Stitch knowledge required:
Knit, increase knit-wise, increase purl-wise, purl, bind off. |
