This is a 1891 Singer model VS2 fiddle base sewing machine.    This machine is in very good condition for it's age of 113.  It has a variant of the Painted Roses decal set which are in pretty good condition.  This machine was used by someone right up until the time I received it - it had been electrified and was sewn with regularly.  The bobbin and shuttle look almost new.

It hasn't been cleaned up yet from the condition I received it in.  It came in a nice little Coffin top treadle:

The treadle itself is in very good shape.  Because the machine had been electrified, the treadle components had been removed.  I did find a replacement wheel, and the pedal is on its way - but I believe I will need a longer pitman rod to get this working as a treadle again.  One drawer seems to have been broken off at the right, and the top of the coffin top is lifting its veneer, but other wise very little work is needed to the wood.  For the machine itself, all I think I will need is a belt guard.

I look forward to using this VS2 fiddle base machine quite a bit.
