Selected Pages From the Singer 500A manual

I've had a few requests for pages from the manual or copies of the manual itself.  The original manual is 45 pages and I just haven't had time to make copies or scans.  I do have a few pages of it scanned, which are listed below.  Bound photocopies can be purchased from Singer at http://www.singer.com , Ebay http://www.ebay.com often has original manuals listed, and doing a Google search brings up a few suppliers of copies, one of which is http://www.tias.com/stores/relics/ .  I do recommend that anyone using this machine buy a manual - it's a wonderful reference.

The above pages should get you sewing with a straight stitch, additional pages will be added as I have time/server space.  Please note - do not run the machine unless you have a cam in the top of the machine.  :)
